Beta 9 and 10

Ok, really, whoever posts about their tenth beta?? I have now had MORE blood draws post IVF than I did pre-IVF...it seems like something is wrong with that!! My poor veins really need a break! It's sad when everyone in the office knows me as the "hard draw" and I think the nurses fight over who has to draw me.

But I digress...we do have some good news.

Monday's Beta was 183 and today's was 86.5!! We have had two good drops and my numbers are well below any danger levels. It really looks like this is finally coming to a close. W is very excited to be able to resume "normal activity." Once I'm officially down to 0, then I get to meet with Dr. J to discuss our plans from here but since I know we will have a break of a few months I'm anxious to get back to exericising and hope to lose a few pounds while I'm hormone free.

And the best news...I don't have to go back until next Wednesday!!!

  1. I can commiserate. I'm "the one with the rolly veins" at my doctor's office. Enjoy being hormone free!

    Happy ICLW!

  2. Hi There, happy ICLW!! I'm so sorry to read about this last IVF, but glad to see you're getting close to closing the book on this cycle. Wishing you tons of luck when you do cycle again, I'm guessing you'll be doing a FET? Will definitely be coming back to check on your journey!!!

I'm sorry about the outcome of this cycle, but I know at this moment getting back to normal is a great thing! Good luck with your next cycle.

  4. Hey Beth!
This is great news. I am so glad you are below danger levels and you will finally be able to move on soon. Using the break to get back into excercise is an excellent idea and I think it will really help you feel better.
    take care :)

  6. Oh Beth, I'm so sorry it was ectopic, i've been there twice also (both time after IVF) and I understand the weird feeling of being happy to see dropping beta! I lost both tubes to those ectopics, but the second time around, despite surgery I had to have MTX shot as my beta remained stable around 1000! Wishing you all the best my friend, Fran
